Step 1: Consultation

Every custom design starts with a consultation. We will work together with you to understand your thoughts and desires. From an existing jewelry image or sketching a new one, we’ll put the design concept on paper.

Step 2: The Design

We use the latest Jewelry design CAD technology and transform the simple hand sketch in a computer generated two dimensional images. At this point you have the ability to make any changes (if needed) to transform the design into the piece of
your dreams.

Step 3: The Making

At this stage, the CAD image will be cast into a wax model allowing you to feel and see the exact details of the finished piece. Once confirmed that it meets your expectation, the piece is cast in either 14KT, 18KT white or yellow gold or Platinum. We will then set all the stones with precision and clean/hand polish the piece to perfection.

Step 4: The Delivery

The finished piece will pass through our rigorous quality assurance where it will be checked for any imperfections. Only when we’re 100% satisfied with the final outcome, we will deliver the piece for you to enjoy.

How does the custom wedding ring design process work at your Newton studio?

Our process begins with a personal consultation at our Newton showroom. You can bring inspiration photos or sketches, and our experts will help you select metals and stones. We then create a detailed 3D model or wax mold so you can visualize and approve the design before our jewelers begin the final casting and hand-finishing.

Can I incorporate family gemstones into a custom wedding band?

Yes, we take great pride in helping our local clients repurpose heirloom diamonds or gemstones. Bringing family stones into a custom design is a beautiful way to honor your heritage while creating a modern piece that fits your style. Our Newton workshop handles these precious materials with the utmost care and expertise.

How long does it take to create a custom wedding ring?

On average, a custom project at our Newton Centre studio takes between 3 to 6 weeks from the initial design approval to the final piece. We recommend starting the process at least two months before your wedding date to allow ample time for design refinements and perfect finishing.

Do you offer custom-contoured bands to fit my existing engagement ring?

Absolutely. Creating "shadow bands" or contoured rings that sit flush against an uniquely shaped engagement ring is one of our specialties. You can leave your engagement ring with us in Newton for a few days so our jewelers can ensure the new custom band follows its curves with precision.
